The Glebe has lost all its revenue since 23rd March, but still has outgoings. You can help, at no cost to yourselves, by signing up to our EasyFundRaising page.

Very simply, almost every online purchase you make could generate a donation for the Glebe, and it’ll cost you zilch!

If you sign up, and spend in the next 3 days, they’ll donate an extra £5 – imagine the difference 100 new followers could make!

The cultural sector has reacted magnificently to the Covid-19 crisis,  and there is a wealth of free material available on the web:

WhatsOnStage lists all the stage shows, musicals and opera you can watch online. This covers work by many of the UK’s leading companies, including the National Theatre, The Bristol Old Vic, and  Shakespeare’s Globe, and is updated daily.

Live & Local is producing a weekly guide to what’s on, featuring many of the acts  who have performed at the Glebe, and in similar venues. The main focus is on Midlands-produced work.

Martyn Offord’s Blog ‘A Muse A Lone’ is a gentle daily reflection on life under lockdown. Crich based Martyn is a published performance poet and musician. His wry look at life is sure to raise a wry smile!

We have booked 3 shows for this autumn, which we hope will be able to go ahead. We are taking bookings for these, but will not be taking money until we know for certain that they can go ahead. To reserve tickets, please ring 01773 853 260.

Audience Attitudes

A national online survey ‘After The Interval: Act 1’ has captured audience views on returning to arts events, booking tickets now and in future, and how they feel about missing out on live events during lockdown.

Act 1 summarises the period 16 April to 6 May. The same respondents will be asked the same questions in Act 2, covering the period 7 May – 27 May.

Act 1 Full Report

Live & Local ran its own survey, with rural touring specific questions, and findings are broadly in line with the ‘After The Interval’ report, but does show that village hall type venues are those where audiences are the most likely to return to first.

(This survey will be added soon).
